5. Intellectual Property & Ownership
The app, its code, design, structure, sequence, organisation, data models, and all related intellectual property rights are and remain our copyrighted property. No rights are granted to you except those expressly set out in these Terms.
6. Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or improvements you provide ("Feedback") are given voluntarily. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, distribute, and otherwise utilise that Feedback for any purpose, without restriction or compensation. Feedback you provide is not considered your confidential information.
7. Your Content (Photos, Videos and Text)
Your content is yours. You keep full ownership of every photo, video, note, tag and name you add to TripUs, including everything you publish on a Trip Story page. We do not claim any ownership of it.
What we may do with it — and nothing more. So we can run the service, you give TripUs a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, resize, back up and display your content, only to provide the features you use (for example, showing your Trip Story page to the people who have its link). This permission ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that sit in backups for a short time before being erased.
What we never do with your photos and videos: we do not sell them, license them to others, use them in advertising or marketing, or use them to train AI models. We do not look at them except when needed to run the service, to keep it safe (for example, checking a report of illegal content), or when the law requires it.
Your promises. When you add content, you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it, and that the people who can be recognised in it (or, for children, a parent or guardian) agree to it being shared the way you share it — including any names you tag.
You are responsible for your content. TripUs only stores and shows content that users add. We do not check content before it is published and we are not responsible for content that users add. If content breaks these Terms or the law, we may remove it, restrict it, or suspend the account or link it came from.
7A. Content That Is Not Allowed
You may not add, publish or share content that:
- contains nudity, sexual acts or sexually suggestive content of any kind;
- shows, sexualises or endangers children in any way — we remove it immediately, close the account or link, and report it to the relevant authorities (including the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children);
- is intimate or private imagery of another person shared without their consent;
- shows graphic violence, gore, self-harm, or cruelty to animals;
- promotes hate, harassment, bullying, threats, or violence against people or groups;
- reveals other people's private information (such as their address, ID documents or exact location) without their permission;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or is spam, malware or misleading.
7B. Reporting and Removal
Anyone — with or without a TripUs account — can report content: use the “Report” option on the Trip Story page or in the app, or email developer@tripus.ai. Please tell us where the content is (the page link and which photo or note), why you think it breaks these Terms or the law, and how we can reach you.
We act on reports of content that breaks section 7A within 24 hours, and on other reports as quickly as we reasonably can; we confirm that we received every report. Content reported as endangering children is hidden immediately while we review it. Trip Story owners can block anyone who added content to their page, which removes everything that person added and stops them adding more.
We review reports as quickly as we reasonably can and confirm that we received them. If we remove or restrict content, we tell the person who added it (when we can reach them) what we decided, the facts it was based on, which rule or law was broken, and how to challenge it. You can ask us to review any decision by replying to that message. If you are in the European Union you may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or go to court. Trip Story owners can also remove content that visitors or contributors added to their page, and can turn visitor contributions off.
We check content mainly in response to reports. We may also use automated tools to detect content that is clearly not allowed (such as nudity) before or after it is published; if such a tool blocks your content, you can ask for a human review.
Copyright. If you believe content on TripUs infringes your copyright, send us: your contact details; the copyrighted work; the exact page and item you believe infringes it; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights owner or authorised to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature. Send it to our copyright agent at developer@tripus.ai. If your content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice. We remove infringing content and close the accounts or links of repeat infringers.
Contact for authorities and users. Our single point of contact for users and for authorities, including under the EU Digital Services Act, is developer@tripus.ai (English or Hebrew).
8. AI Features
- AI suggestions are for planning help only and do not constitute professional travel, safety, or any other advice
- Verify important information independently
- We're not responsible for AI recommendations or their accuracy
- Usage limits may apply
9. Location Sharing
- Location sharing is temporary and voluntary
- You control who sees your location
- Location data auto-deletes after 24 hours
- Only share location with people you trust
10. Trip Story — Public Sharing
Trip Story lets you turn a trip into a shareable web page. Anyone with the link can view it — no TripUs account or login is required — and, if you allow it, visitors can also add their own notes, tags, and photos.
- You control what gets published. Only photos, videos, and details you (or, if you allow it, your trip's contributors) choose to include appear on the page.
- You're responsible for what you publish, including making sure you have the right to share any photo or video. This includes photos of children: only publish a child's photo if you're their parent or guardian, or you have a parent or guardian's permission to share it.
- Visitor content. Visitor contributions are on by default: anyone with the link can add notes and tags, and anyone with your invite link can add their own photos. You can turn this off in the app (website setup → “Let visitors add notes, tags and photos”), which makes the page view-only; people you invite through the TripUs app can still add their photos. You're responsible for what appears on your Trip Story page; you can ask us to remove anything you didn't intend to publish (see our Privacy Policy).
- Adding to someone else's Trip Story. If you add notes, tags, or photos to a Trip Story page, you confirm you have the right to share them, and you allow TripUs to store and show them on that page for as long as the page exists. The page owner can have them removed.
- Free pages expire. A Trip Story published on a free plan is publicly viewable for 7 days, after which the page stops working; its photos, notes, and tags are permanently deleted about 30 days later. Making a page permanent — via a one-time purchase or an active Pro subscription — keeps it live until you delete it.
- Location and face-tag data. If a published photo carries location data, that location is shown alongside it. If you name people in your photos using our on-device face-grouping feature, only the names you type are shown on the page — the underlying face-matching data never leaves your device. Faces you name are remembered only on your phone, for your account, to suggest names next time; you can clear them at any time (“Forget the faces this phone learned”).
For details on what a Trip Story page collects and how long it's kept, see our Privacy Policy.
11. Paid Features (if applicable)
- Some features may require payment
- Prices are shown before purchase
- Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play follow the respective store's refund policies
- Purchases made on our website are processed by Paddle.com as merchant of record; refund requests are handled by Paddle — contact developer@tripus.ai or Paddle support within 14 days of purchase
- We may change prices with notice
11.1 Tips to Guides
Travelers may choose to thank a tour guide with a tip. Tips are entirely optional and are paid directly to the guide through a payment link that the guide sets up and controls (for example PayPal, Bit, Revolut or Wise). TripUs does not process, hold, or transfer tip money, is not a party to the tip transaction, and does not currently charge any fee or commission on tips — 100% of what you send goes to the guide. Tips do not unlock any content, feature, or service in the app. Any dispute, refund, or chargeback relating to a tip is between you, the guide, and the payment provider you used. TripUs records that the tip button was tapped (not amounts) to measure how the feature is used. TripUs reserves the right to introduce a service fee on tips in the future; any such change will be announced with reasonable notice and will apply only to tips made after it takes effect.
12. Third-Party Platforms
Apple: You acknowledge that Apple is not a party to these Terms and bears no responsibility for the app or its content, maintenance, or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms; upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
Google Play: Google is not responsible for the app or any related claims.
13. Our Rights
We may:
- Update or change the app
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Change these terms with notice
- Stop operating the app with 30 days notice
14. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
TripUs AI is provided "AS IS". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US $5 or the amount you paid (if any).
Apple warranty carve-out: In the event any applicable warranty cannot be disclaimed, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple will have no further warranty obligation.
Guides are independent. Tour guides on TripUs are independent third parties — they are not employees, agents, or representatives of TripUs. TripUs makes reasonable efforts to check guides (including a trial period and, where a guide provides one, an automated review of their guide credentials), but TripUs does not and cannot guarantee that any guide is licensed, accredited, insured, qualified, or suitable, and some guides may not be accredited. You use guides and their services at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TripUs is not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, conduct, qualifications, safety, or services of any guide, or for any loss, injury, damage, or dispute arising from your interaction with a guide. Any arrangement or dispute is solely between you and the guide.
We are not liable for:
- Problems during your trips
- Issues with third-party services
- Lost data (please back up important info)
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- The accuracy of AI-generated recommendations
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms or (b) your negligence or wilful misconduct in using the app.
16. Equitable Relief
Unauthorised use of the app may cause irreparable harm. We reserve the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief without the obligation to post a bond.
17. Contact Us

18. Governing Law & Venue
